BOTOX is meant to be used to treat the problematic areas near the eyes. It greatly diminishes the appearance of crow’s feet, deeply set lines between the eyebrows, and other wrinkles around the eyelids. If you instead require treatment for wrinkles near the mouth or on the forehead, Dr. Mahjouri may recommend a more appropriate treatment.
How Long Do You Want Treatment to Last?
Every cosmetic facial treatment, depending on how it is performed, can produce different effects on different patients. Even after going through a consultation with Dr. Mahjouri to explain how each treatment option affects their appearance, a person can still be surprised by their outcome. As a result, many patients are often hesitant to undergo lasting treatments that have an effect on their appearance they were not expecting.
When Dr. Mahjouri applies BOTOX to a patient’s wrinkles, those folds are smoothed out for around four months. If you desired ongoing BOTOX results, the treatment would be administered again at the four-month mark to maintain results. If you do not desire results that are that long-lasting, other muscle relaxants or one of our filler options are also available.
